Management training
Train the team you already have.
Kaiju Management runs a one-day seminar for a leadership team that already works together. Psychologists and behavioralists stay in the room while that team practices a real meeting.
How the day works.
You bring the people who share the work, and you name the decision the meeting is supposed to make. They run that meeting. Trainers set the practice and score it.
A psychologist comments while the discussion is still happening, not in a note on Monday. A behavioralist writes down the one behavior the team will repeat on a hard week.
You leave with that behavior. The seminar does not claim to install a new culture in a day.
What the team practices.
- 01Correct a strong peer.
Tell someone excellent that the work is wrong, without lowering the standard or ending the working relationship.
- 02Choose when every option is reasonable.
The team picks one option and says what it is giving up.
- 03Start again after a sharp exchange.
Get the meeting moving without pretending the disagreement did not happen.
- 04Finish when a star is off.
Make the decision on a day when one of the strongest people is not at their best.
Book it for one team.
This is for the executive whose own group keeps reopening the same decision. Bring that group. Do not send a mixed class of high potentials from different teams. They will practice sounding impressive, which is a different event.
The person who schedules it needs one day and a meeting the team already has. Psychologists and behavioralists are in the room for the whole seminar. They are not guest speakers.
